Can skin camouflage and make-up be combined?
Yes, absolutely. The two can easily be combined, as long as you make sure that the make-up does not interfere with the camouflage. Please ask about this during your consultation – or take advantage of our combined camouflage and make-up package.
Do you do make-up for special events, e.g. weddings?
Yes, Babs is a qualified and experienced make-up artist as well as skin camouflage practitioner. She can do your make-up for a special occasion on its own, or combined with skin camouflage. You may, for example, have a tattoo you do not wish to be on display or want to have your make-up done professionally to draw attention to your best features so that you feel less conscious about your skin concerns. Please see the make-up artist page for more information.
Can you teach me to do my own make-up?
Yes, Babs is a qualified and experienced make-up artist as well as skin camouflage practitioner and will happily arrange for a consultation involving a tailored lesson in which she will advise you on colour schemes that will suit your colouring, recommend her favourite products, and give you pointers on technique. The combination of skin camouflage and make-up artistry means that she is very skilled at being able to cover other skin discolourations such as under-eye shadows, irregular pigmentation, flushing and blushing, and café au lait marks, for example.
How long does a make-up consultation last?
The length of the consultation will depend on the issues in question and whether you are combining skin camouflage and make-up or not. You can expect a combined camouflage and make-up consultation to last around 2 hours.
What make-up products do you use?
As a professional make-up artist, Babs has a fully stocked kit to suit all ethnicities, ages and skin types. She uses mainstream brands such as MAC, and NARS, but also professional brands such as Le Maq Pro, Graftobian or Ben Nye. She has her own favourite go-to products that she is happy to share with clients.
